Steven Strickley: I grew up in the Bay Area and came to UCSC as a student in 1978. I majored in Environmental Studies and worked as a student employee at Family Student Housing. I was hired as a groundskeeper in 1992 and have mainly worked at Porter College since then. I love both the physical setting and the people here at UCSC, and feel very lucky to have gotten to be here all these years.
